SAMPLE DAY ON RETREAT
Yoga Retreat Program
7.30am - "Sun salutations" to greet the day, out in the forest (or in the heated yoga room in winter)
8.30am - Delicious, healthy breakfast prepared by our private chef.
You have the option to enjoy each meal in the dining room (which has a roaring fireplace for winter retreats) or out on the verandah, overlooking the forest
10am - Nature connection workshop: taking the time to consciously connect to nature has the most healing and calming effects on mind, body and soul.
11am - Meditation: learn simple but life changing techniques that you can take back home to use to calm a busy mind and allow you to easily tap into your inner wisdom, creativity and compassion.
11.30am - Yoga class (options are given in each class to suit every student, whether beginner or more experienced).
12.30pm - Lunch (organic food, is used where possible in all our retreat meals)
Free time - take a nap, wander through the forest to the incredible waterfall and look-out or let your creativity flow by journalling, drawing, knitting...whatever makes your heart sing and you perhaps don't usually have time to do.
2pm - an indulgent cake that has come straight from the oven for afternoon tea
3.30pm - Delightfully relaxing "Yin and Restorative" class. This class is designed so that even people who don't usually do you yoga, can enjoy it with ease. It will create a deep stretch for your body without you having to do anything except lie down, drape yourself over a bolster...and relax!
5pm - You might like to wander to the majestic waterfall and enjoy the most spectacular sunset
6.30pm - Dinner and dessert
8.30pm - "Nidra". An extremely relaxing guided meditation done lying down. This is also called "yoga sleep". It will guide you into a deep relaxation, so you can then float off to a peaceful nights sleep. Most of our guests love to "star-gaze" before bed...the night sky is so clear and bright up in Springbrook and the feeling of being so in-tune and connected to nature restores a certain balance and calm to our lives.
